Activity: AABIP Education Committee - Co-Chair: 2023 Update in IP and CAQ/IP Board Review Course

The selected applicant will serve as a course co-chair and work with the chair to organize and moderate the annual AABIP Update in IP &CAQ/IP Board Review Course. The course will take place during the fall of 2023. The selected individual will assume the position of chair for the Course the following year (i.e. during the second year of the term). This is a voluntary service position.

Education Committee Goals

The Education Committee seeks to provide educational resources that advance the field of Interventional Pulmonology and promote learning opportunities to enhance the knowledge and practice of our membership.

The Education Committee oversees the development of various educational courses and symposiums during annual national meetings, such as the AABIP conference, Chest and ATS. Some of the other educational activities under the auspices of this committee include the IP Fellowship Boot Camps, webinars, podcasts, and journal clubs.

Term of Service: 2 years

• IP Board Certified with successful completion of the IP Board Exam
• Minimum 5 years post IP fellowship training or IP Practice
• Has not participated in the development of the IP Board or CAQ Examinations
• AABIP Member in good standing
