The American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (AABIP) Research Committee is seeking applications from members to join Research Work Groups.  A total of 16 positions are available.  8 Junior and 8 senior positions. 

Applicants should be AABIP members in good standing. Individuals who are within 5 years of the end of formalized training will be considered early career members.  Individuals who are over 5 years (6 or more) of the end of formalized training will be considered senior career members.  

The Research Committee is implementing four Workgroups focused on distinct subject matters (Pleural Disease, Therapeutic Bronchoscopy, Diagnostic Bronchoscopy, and Healthcare Transformation).  Each workgroup will:

  1. Review AABIP research grant submission’s in their area
  2. Review AABIP meeting abstract in their area
  3. Work on projects and host research workshops for the general memberships
  4. Seek out experts for Research Studios
  5. Keep meeting minutes and quarterly progress report

To be considered, all applications must be submitted through the link below by the deadline provided and must be submitted online through the link below.

Applications should include:
  1. NIH Biosketch (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/forms/biosketch.htm) or CV
  2. A statement of goals/interest (<250 words). 
  3. Indicate the Workgroup (Pleural Disease, Therapeutic Bronchoscopy, Diagnostic Bronchoscopy, and Healthcare Transformation) you are most interested in joining.
