The American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (AABIP) is seeking dedicated and experienced professionals to join our Certification Committee. This volunteer position offers an opportunity to shape the future of Interventional Pulmonology by contributing to the development, evaluation, and implementation of our certification processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Board Exam Question Writing or Validation: Develop and validate questions for board exams, ensuring they meet the highest standards of accuracy and relevance.
  • Ongoing CAQ Development and Implementation: Participate in the continuous development and refinement of the Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ), including writing questions and validating assessment tools.
  • Evaluation of Recertification Process: Assess and enhance the effectiveness of our recertification process to maintain the rigor and integrity of the certification.
  • ABIM Certification Collaboration: Work alongside members of the Association of Interventional Pulmonology Program Directors (AIPPD) on the application for American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification.
Qualifications:
  • Member of the AABIP in good standing
  • Expertise in interventional pulmonology and bronchoscopy with experience in education, certification, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
