Position Description

The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis is seeking an Interventional Pulmonologist to join our established Interventional Pulmonology program (currently 2 Interventional Pulmonologists and advanced practice providers) to provide Interventional Pulmonology services and critical care services at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and an additional hospital within the BJC Health Network.  The IP practice at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine is nationally recognized and offers an opportunity to practice in a true multi-disciplinary and expanding Thoracic Oncology network.

We seek a faculty member with a passion for clinical and academic medicine who has completed a three-year fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and an accredited fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology.  Candidates should be board eligible or board certified in Pulmonary disease, Critical Care medicine and Interventional Pulmonology. 

 

Basic Qualifications

  • MD, MD/PHD, DO, or equivalent
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and pulmonary disease, critical care medicine.
  • Completed an additional year of fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology from an ACGME accredited IP fellowship program.
  • Possession or eligibility to obtain a State of Missouri Medical License.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform Interventional Pulmonology procedures at academic and community-based hospitals.
  • Perform critical care services at academic and community based hospitals.
  • Provide outpatient care in an Interventional Pulmonology clinic
  • Actively participate in teaching residents and fellows about Interventional Pulmonology
