Faculty Position in Interventional Pulmonary Medicine
The Division of Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine at the UNC School of Medicine is recruiting for a full-time faculty member with expertise in Interventional Pulmonary Medicine.
Responsibilities include:
- Seeing referrals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to known or suspected lung cancer, thoracic metastasis, infectious or interstitial diseases of the lung, and pleural diseases.
- Management of benign and malignant obstructive airway lesions, lung malignancies requiring endoluminal therapies, robotic assisted evaluation of suspicious parenchymal lung lesions, acute and chronic pleural processes, and performance of bedside tracheostomy placement.
- Conducting duties in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings.
- Teaching pulmonary procedures to fellow trainees in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and subspecialty fellows in Interventional Pulmonary.
- Opportunities to attend in the Medical Intensive Care Unit with additional related teaching duties.
- Conducting clinical research related to cancer diagnostics/therapeutics, pleural diseases, and innovative interventional procedures.
