The Department of Medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center seeks an interventional pulmonologist to support a growing pulmonary and thoracic surgery service. As Associate Director, this provider will provide exceptional clinical care and will help expand the interventional pulmonary program. Procedures will be performed in a new and well equipped pulmonary procedure unit. The provider will be supported by dedicated pulmonary faculty, an established pulmonary and critical care fellowship program, and a robust thoracic oncology and surgery team. Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care in pulmonology and interventional pulmonary procedures.
- Perform clinical pulmonary consultation across ambulatory and hospital-based settings including critical care, emergency, medical and surgical wards.
- Lead system and process initiatives to build the interventional pulmonary program.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including thoracic surgery and medical oncology to provide high quality, safe and accessible patient care.
- Engage in quality and safety improvement activities.
- Contribute to administrative and educational training activities including resident and fellow recruitment, teaching, mentoring, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in and support clinical research efforts, and maintain high standards in clinical research practices.

Requirements:
- M.D. or D.O. from a recognized medical school
- Board Certification in Pulmonology
- Completion of an Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship or board certification in Interventional Pulmonary Medicine.
- Ability to obtain New Jersey Medical License, DEA and CDS
