Activity: AABIP Membership Committee – Pediatric Interventional Pulmonologist or Advanced Bronchoscopist Position

The AABIP Membership Committee is currently accepting applications for a pediatric pulmonologist with expertise in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This is a leadership opportunity that enables you to engage meaningfully in your chosen field and will provide you with valuable experience for the future. 


Membership Committee Goals

The Membership Committee seeks to add members to the AABIP that can contribute to advancing the field of Interventional Pulmonology and promote learning opportunities to enhance the knowledge and practice of our membership.
The Membership Committee, in addition to its primary goal of expanding overall membership, also oversees the organization of regional and specialty chapters, and assists in coordination of chapter activities, including educational events (such as webinars, podcasts, and journal clubs), symposiums during annual national meetings, and practice support initiatives. The Membership Committee serves as the liaison between chapters and other AABIP Committees, such as Education, Certification, Advocacy and Diversity.

Composition and Term of Office 

The pediatric IP member is expected to serve on the Membership Committee and provide a unique perspective in the development of educational resources. The term of service is one year with an option for extension for a second term at the request of the Committee Chair/Co-Chair. 

Criteria for selection

We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated, hardworking and passionate about advancement of the field of IP and pediatric bronchoscopy. Demonstrated abilities and prior experience with organizational structure will be prioritized. 

The candidate must be board certified in pediatric pulmonology and an AABIP member in good standing.
